Often times, women have preconceived selection criteria and qualities that their spouse should possess. Though it is neither right nor wrong to have these pointers that help one decide on who to settle down with, it is also important that women pay more attention to innate/spiritual attributes of what the man possesses rather than only on the outward.
It is true that, what you see would help you make up your mind on whether to respond or ignore a man when he tries to chat you up but what should occupy prominence in a woman's mind should be the content rather than a man's appearance, although this is not a permission for a man to look unkempt and dirty, women should play down a bit on what the man looks like cause research has shown that most good-looking men are prone to cheating and in the case of marriage could lead to divorce.
